About

Lisa Weyrauther (*2000) is a German composer, film composer and pianist based in Munich and Amsterdam. She currently studies composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Meriç Artaç, Maya Verlaak and previously Wim Henderickx.

Lisa’s music is deeply rooted in her inner world and is a product of her curiosity for life and people. In her pieces,

she explores feelings and challenges of others and herself, through which she creates a musical space that is emotionally diverse and accessible. Rhythmical drive, a nuanced harmonic language and strong atmospheres are fundamental to her music. She draws inspiration from various genres, ranging from classical music and jazz to soul and metal.

She writes for a variety of instrumentations, including electronic music. The piano, however, which she learned to play from an early age on, has always been her tool of choice for her creative process and plays a central role in many of her pieces.

For her film music, she uses a concise and minimalistic approach, creating rich atmospheres with limited instrumentation. She creates a unique sound for each of her soundtracks, often experimenting with a combination of instruments, field recordings and electronics.

Lisa’s music has been performed at multiple events, including the SNAAR Festival in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht and the TROMP International Percussion Competition in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
